U2’s Adam Clayton Gets Green Light for 'Retirement Home' in Kinsale
The legendary bassist has finally found what he's looking for, securing planning permission for a massive Cork mansion.

U2 rocker Adam Clayton is heading for the Rebel County after Cork County Council granted him permission to build a luxury 'retirement home' near Kinsale.
The Irish Times reports that the musician will demolish a ruined homestead at Ringfinnan to make way for a 795sq m dwelling. The massive new build is said to be seven times the size of an average three-bed semi-detached house.
The plans for 'Kinsale House' include a two-bedroom first floor complete with a second kitchen and living room. Luckily for the star, no objections were lodged against the development when it was submitted back in June.
It’s a busy time for the U2 man, who is currently celebrating the band's 50th anniversary before jetting off for 'The Greatest Show on Earth' world tour starting in Mexico City this February.
