Sir Ian McKellen to Cast a Spell Over Strictly Come Dancing
The acting titan is lending his iconic voice to a 'spec-dracula' Halloween group routine this weekend.

Strictly fans are in for a theatrical treat as Sir Ian McKellen is set to make a surprise cameo during the Halloween results show. The 87-year-old legend has recorded a special vocal performance for the professional dancers' group routine.
The performance, set to Tame Impala’s track 'Dracula', features pros Alexis Warr and Nikita Kuzmin on a first date that takes a supernatural turn. McKellen’s 'dulcet tones' will be heard at the routine’s climax, reading an extract from Bram Stoker’s classic horror novel.
While McKellen provides the voice, the dancers will bring a tango-styled 'depths of hell' energy to the ballroom floor. This marks a major coup for the show's annual spooky celebrations, which also see the judges undergo terrifying transformations.
The results show will also feature music from Becky Hill and a series-first three-couple dance-off, where judges will vote to eliminate rather than save.
