Sinéad O’Connor’s Former Bray Home to Become Luxury Residence with Touching Memorial
The late singer’s seafront property is set for a major overhaul, including a gym, sauna, and a permanent tribute to her legacy.

The former home of Irish music icon Sinéad O’Connor is set for a massive transformation. New owners Jane Hughes and David Lynch have been granted planning permission by Wicklow County Council for an extensive renovation of the Bray seafront property, Montebello.
The luxury upgrade will reportedly include a new gym, sauna, and a bar. However, the owners are also ensuring the singer’s 15-year history with the house is not forgotten, with plans for a commemorative plaque to be installed at the front of the residence.
According to drawings lodged with the application, the plaque will read: 'SINÉAD O'CONNOR musician, activist 1966 – 2023 lived here from 2007 to 2021.' This touching tribute follows the thousands of well-wishers who gathered at the gates following her passing in July 2023.
The landmark building remains a point of pilgrimage for fans, and the new renovation aims to balance modern luxury with a respectful nod to its famous former occupant.
