Ryan Tubridy has confirmed he and his wife, Dr. Clare Kambamettu, are expecting their first child together. The 53-year-old broadcaster took to Instagram on Sunday evening to share the happy news, thanking followers for their "kind and thoughtful well wishes about our impending arrival."

The pair, who tied the knot in an intimate Connemara ceremony last December, are reportedly expecting the new addition in early 2027. According to the Irish Examiner, the couple is "beyond excited" for the next chapter of their lives together, with Tubridy telling fans he is looking forward to a very busy year ahead.

The baby will be the first child for Dr. Kambamettu, a 42-year-old clinical psychologist and former Rose of Tralee. According to The Irish Times, the couple first met when she appeared as a guest on Tubridy's RTÉ radio show in early 2023, staying by his side throughout his high-profile exit from the national broadcaster.

Tubridy is already a proud dad to two adult daughters, Ella and Julia, from his previous marriage to Anne Marie Power. According to Evoke, sources say Clare is "doing great" as they prepare for the new arrival, which marks another major milestone since Ryan's move to London-based Virgin Radio.
