Philippine Police Discover Further Material in Thomas Markle Investigation

Things have taken a grim turn in the ongoing investigation involving Meghan Markle’s estranged father. According to Philstar and AFP, Philippine National Police have confirmed that three memory cards and a mobile phone turned over to authorities contain child sexual abuse material.

The devices were reportedly handed over by Thomas Markle’s son, Thomas Jr., who claims to have discovered the cache while clearing out his father's former residence in Cebu. The elder Markle, now 82, lived in the Philippines for a time before returning to the U.S. earlier this year for medical treatment.

According to the South China Morning Post, Philippine National Police Chief Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. cautioned that the discovery of the material does not immediately establish legal responsibility. "We have to establish where these came from, who may be responsible, and whether Philippine laws were violated," he stated.

This latest update comes as Mexican authorities also confirm they have raided a storage unit in Rosarito Beach previously rented by Markle, following an anonymous tip. Thomas Markle has vehemently denied all allegations, previously telling the Daily Mail that the claims were "sick lies."

A spokesperson for the Duchess of Sussex previously described her as "deeply distressed" by the reports. The FBI is reportedly cooperating with Philippine investigators to determine the origin of the files found across the multiple locations.
