Halle Berry scores partial win as judge binns ex-husband's restraining order
The Catwoman star is 'ecstatic' after abuse allegations were tossed, though she’s still fighting to get her full custody rights back.

Halle Berry has bagged a significant, if partial, victory in her fierce legal row with ex-husband Olivier Martinez. A Los Angeles judge has officially dissolved a temporary restraining order (TRO) Martinez had filed against the Oscar winner following allegations of abuse involving their 13-year-old son, Maceo.
Martinez had made shock claims that Berry 'physically attacked and choked' their lad, but the court has now denied his request for a permanent domestic violence restraining order, according to Us Weekly. While the order is gone, the drama isn't over yet; the judge ruled that the temporary custody restrictions—which saw Berry lose overnight visits—will stay in place until a hearing next month.
Berry’s attorney, Marina Beck, told Us Weekly they are 'extremely pleased' the court dissolved the TRO, adding that the actress is focused on the 'well-being and best interests of her family.' The star was spotted looking relieved outside the court, hugging fiancé Van Hunt after the nine-day proceeding concluded.
The former couple, who split in 2015, have been at each other's throats in court for years. While Berry’s camp is calling this a 'huge win,' she still faces a climb to get back to the 50/50 custody split she enjoyed before these latest explosive allegations surfaced.
