Hailey Bieber Opens Up About ‘Intense’ PMDD Struggle After Welcoming Son Jack Blues

Hailey Bieber has opened up about a difficult health battle following the birth of her first child, Jack Blues. In a raw new interview with Women’s Wear Daily, the 29-year-old model revealed she was diagnosed with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) just months after welcoming her son with husband Justin Bieber in August 2024.

The beauty mogul described the experience as a "really intense and special journey," but admitted that the hormonal fallout was far more severe than standard PMS. Speaking on the SHE MD podcast earlier this year—and doubling down in her latest chat with WWD—Hailey explained that the condition caused "swirling thoughts" and extreme emotional shifts in the lead-up to her period.

“You’re like, ‘Why does it feel like my whole entire life is gonna end? Like, I don’t understand.’ You just have all these swirling thoughts and feelings, and just everything feels like the biggest deal in the world,” she shared, according to US Weekly. The model expressed frustration over the lack of research into women’s health, noting that her own diagnosis made her feel "hyper-aware" of her body.

By speaking out, the mum-of-one says she feels "less alone" and hopes to spark more conversation for others dealing with the same "lonely journey." She’s also putting her money where her mouth is; her brand Rhode recently pledged $5 million to the Foundation for Women's Health to help close the research gap. Good on her!
