Gregg Wallace is back in the ring with the BBC. The former MasterChef stalwart has reportedly revived his legal claim against the broadcaster, just months after he seemingly threw in the towel and dropped the case.

The 62-year-old was axed from the hit cooking show in July 2025 following a misconduct investigation that upheld 45 allegations against him. While Gregg originally sued for £10,000 over a data protection dispute, he discontinued that claim in February. However, he now insists the fight is back on, telling followers on X that he is the victim of a "terrible witch hunt."

According to The Mirror, Gregg confirmed he is once again pursuing the legal route because of the way he was treated by the corporation. He claims that the original investigation actually cleared him of bullying and harassment, and he’s eager to get his side of the story across in front of a judge.

Per reports from the Reading Chronicle, the TV chef has suggested a court date is already in the diary for spring next year, though it is understood this may be a preliminary hearing rather than a full-blown trial. The BBC previously stated they would defend any claim, denying that Gregg suffered any "distress or harassment" during his exit.

It’s a spicy new chapter for the man who spent two decades telling us about buttery biscuit bases. Gregg, who previously apologised for any "distress caused" while maintaining he never meant to harm anyone, clearly isn't ready to let the BBC have the last word just yet.
