The supermodel had been slated to open the October 18 event in Los Angeles, marking her first time in wings for two decades. However, fellow catwalk queen Bella Hadid was called in to lead the show's opening in her absence after the injury sidelined the star.

While fans were gutted not to see Gisele strutting in the flesh, she didn't leave them entirely hanging. The 'Nourish' author still featured in the show via pre-taped video segments filmed in a beachside villa, teasing viewers that they'd be seeing "more of me real soon."
