Amy Huberman's Karaoke Nightmare: Why She’s Regretting This 'High Volume' Parenting Move
The Finding Joy star has taken to social media to share the one gift that has turned her house into a very loud, very barky musical theater production.

Amy Huberman has left followers in stitches after admitting to a major 'parenting fail' involving a gift she now deeply regrets. The actress and author confessed that she made the questionable decision to buy a karaoke machine with a 'very high volume dial' for her children during lockdown, according to RollerCoaster.ie.
Taking to Instagram, the mum-of-three joked that while she isn't saying the purchase was a mistake, she is definitely saying it was as 'mad' as buying a tin whistle or a drum kit. It turns out the family dog isn't exactly a fan of the X-Factor vibes either, with Amy revealing the poor pup 'barks all day' at the machine, according to the Irish Mirror.
The self-deprecating star shared a photo of the 'dreaded' device, sparking a wave of sympathy from fellow parents who have fallen into the trap of buying noisy toys. Fans were quick to share their own horror stories of recorders and microphones that mysteriously 'went missing' shortly after Christmas.
Amy, who shares children Sadie, Billy, and Ted with rugby legend Brian O’Driscoll, is well known for her relatable takes on the 'shit show' of parenting. Between the karaoke chaos and the dog’s protests, it seems the Huberman-O’Driscoll household is currently the loudest spot in Dublin.
