Huge congratulations are in order for sports broadcaster Aisling O’Reilly, who has officially joined the sleepless nights club. The freelance presenter, who has become a staple on RTÉ and GAA+ screens, took to social media to reveal she has welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with husband Colm Maginn.

Sharing the news with her followers, Aisling posted a series of adorable snaps, including a black-and-white photo of the new family of three and one of proud dad Colm carrying their new arrival out of the hospital. According to RSVP Live, the couple have chosen a powerful traditional moniker for their son: Sétanta Seán Maginn.

The name is steeped in Irish mythology, famously being the birth name of the legendary hero Cú Chulainn. Writing on Instagram, the Meath native described the name as one of "courage, strength and bravery," adding that she was experiencing "a love like no other."

The happy arrival comes after Aisling revealed her pregnancy in style back in June. During the All-Ireland quarter-finals, she shared a clever video from Croke Park, dropping a GAA football to reveal her growing bump with the caption: "Our greatest teammate is on the way." It seems the newest member of the squad has finally made his debut!
